The purpose of CFUW Barrie fundraising is threefold:
1. to finance our annual scholarship ($1500)
2. to support a community venture
3. to subsidize Club costs, such as those incurred by our members' participation in CFUW activities outside Barrie.
Funds are raised by
- voluntary donations from our Club members, their families, and friends
- donations from local businesses and associations
- occasional collaborations with the fundraising initiatives of other community groups
In 2001 our Club established the CFUW/ Barrie District Scholarship Trust Fund (see SCHOLARSHIP) as a registered charity. All donations over $10 are tax receiptable and can be sent to CFUW/Barrie District Scholarship Trust Fund, 65 Cedar Pointe Drive, Unit 245, Barrie, On. L4N 9R3.

Our CFUW National - Funds working for Canadian women’s education!
At the August Annual General Meeting (AGM) of CFUW Canada, President Brenda Wallace
announced that, as well as funds raised and distributed on a local basis by individual
clubs, CFUW National also gave $89,000 from their National Trust for scholarships
that are available to women Canada-wide.
CFUW National received 582 applications for
these 15 fellowships and awards.
