Students in Barrie area secondary schools may apply
for a scholarship offered by the Canadian Federation of
University Women (CFUW) Barrie to help cover first-year
Canadian university expenses.
The club assists young men
and women who demonstrate both academic diligence and
community involvement.
Students can apply for the scholarship in their graduating
year by picking up applications in the guidance office
of their school any time after January 1; and their applications
must be submitted by April 4, of that year.
The CFUW Barrie scholarship is
for a Barrie Student who plans to go
- to a Canadian University, OR
- to a degree/diploma granting college in Ontario.
This student must show
- Leadership and
- Community Service
- and have financial need.

CFUW Annual Scholarship Winners
The Canadian Federation of University Women (CFUW) Barrie and District was proud to encourage local students by recently presenting their Annual Scholarship Awards to Sergio Morales, a graduate of St. Joseph’s Catholic High School, who won their 2011 Scholarship for $1500 & Devenae Bryce, a graduate of Innisdale Secondary School, who was the winner of their $500 Encouragement Award. Congratulations to these two exceptional students!
